about
‘Disparity’ is an invitation to celebrate the depth and variety of our emotions. Written in a day at the height of the (first) isolation period here in Melbourne, it’s about finding solace in our inner selves, being grateful for the good things we have and recognising that, at a human level, we must all go through the same things.
"During the lockdown, society at large experienced a common central theme of uncertainty and despair that exposed / brought out different patterns and displays in the way we all coped with it, notably on social media. I was drawn to the sound of the piano and the melancholic nature of this chord progression to portray this sentiment."
